Mars: The Ultimate Voyage is an animated film that explores what it will take for humans to embark on the first journey to Mars. The planetarium production seeks to answer questions about how future astronauts will maintain their health and stay motivated on the long, two-year journey to Mars. The film will also explore the challenges astronauts will face—long distance, isolation, radiation and altered gravity—while highlighting NASA research and training initiatives that will prepare a new generation of astronauts who will head to Mars. Visitors will witness how creativity, collaboration, communication, and expertise in a diverse number of fields are key for the success of deep space travel and what it takes to embark on the first human mission beyond Earth’s orbit.
